An intense, educational presentation and tasting of Grower Champagne or "Farmers Fizz". Champagne made by the farmers that grow the grapes. Grower Champagnes literally taste of the place where the grapes were grown. It is a product of the land they come from and it is a reflection of the grower/winemakers hard work. You will learn how Grower Champagne differs from the Grande Marques or Big House styles. What grapes are used in the final product and what to look for when shopping for Champagne.
Simply put, Grower Champagne describes a small vineyard owner in the Champagne region of France who makes wine from family-owned grapes and then crafts that wine into the finished bottle of bubbly. Known affectionately as “Farmer Fizz,” Grower Champagnes are hand-crafted, artisan wines offering an exciting, personality-filled alternative to boring corporate "Big House" Champagne.
All wines are served in Riedel stemware. No product purchase is required. You do not have to be a member of the Northern Lights Wine Club to attend any wine event at the Beanery Cafe. Limited to just 12 participants.
