Wines from High Places

Thursday April 20, 2017 at 6:30pm

Attitude matters ... but so does altitude. We will sample wines from several "high elevation” vineyard sites from around the world. From terraced sloping hills to deep down in the valley, elevation affects how grapes grow. High altitude does two things that benefit certain wines: cooler temperatures at night and a longer growing season. The freshness is the overall hallmark for reds and whites, together with a delicacy of floral and fruit characters. Join us and discover the difference elevation makes for Wines from High Places.

An informal and educational food and wine event for everyone interested in expanding their knowledge and love of fine wines. We will cover some basic topics relating to wine appreciation. Taste and compare wines from around the world. This is the perfect place for wine beginners to learn about wine and why it can be a life long, enjoyable experience. Experienced wine lovers can also benefit by using this evening to brush up on their wine knowledge and tasting skills. There is always something to learn about wine.

The Beanery Cafe will serve an assortment of appetizers with the wines. All wines are served in Riedel stemware. No product purchase is required. You do not have to be a member of the Northern Lights Wine Club to attend any wine event at the Beanery Cafe.
