We will explore the wines of France and the history of its growing regions. Learn the proper pronunciation of French wine terms and how to read French wine labels. We will sample several red and white wines from Bordeaux, Burgundy, Rhône Valley, Loire, Beaujolais and Alsace. Understand the grape varietals used in each appellation, and enhance your appreciation and enjoyment of French wines.

You must know French wine to understand wine. This is the perfect place for wine beginners to learn about wine and why it can be a life long, enjoyable experience. Experienced wine lovers can also benefit by using this evening to brush up on their wine knowledge and tasting skills. There is always something to learn about wine. The Downtown Deli will serve an assortment of cheeses and appetizers with the wines. You do not have to be a member of the Northern Lights Wine Club to attend any wine event at the Downtown Deli. All wines are served in Riedel stemware. No product purchase is required.
